Bird Control
Bird control is the installation of anti-pigeon systems — netting, stainless steel spikes, tensioned wires — to protect buildings long-term. Pigeon droppings (pH 3–4.5) degrade concrete and stone within a few years. 10-year guarantee on installations.

Why Antinox
Deterrence, not elimination
Lasting
Permanent systems
Netting, spikes and tensioned wires physically prevent roosting. Once properly installed, they last for years without maintenance.
Health
Cleaning and disinfection
Pigeon droppings contain pathogens. We carry out a complete cleanup and a disinfectant treatment before installing the systems.
Discreet
Invisible installation
Our systems blend into the façade without spoiling the building's aesthetics. Techniques used on public buildings and listed heritage.

Our protocol
Four steps, permanent results
- 01
Diagnosis
Mapping of roosting and nesting areas. Assessment of density and impact on the building.
- 02
Cleaning
Removal of droppings and nests with a disinfectant treatment against pathogens.
- 03
Installation
Fitting of the appropriate systems: netting, anti-roosting spikes, tensioned wires or repellent gel depending on the surface.

Maintenance
Optional annual check to guarantee the systems' long-term effectiveness.
Frequently asked questions
Bird control
Are pigeons really pests?
Yes. Their droppings are acidic and degrade façades, roofs and equipment. They contain pathogens (salmonella, chlamydia) and pose a real health risk.
How long do anti-roosting systems last?
UV-polyethylene anti-pigeon nets last 10 to 15 years. Stainless steel spikes are guaranteed rust-free for 10 years. We use only rustproof materials. An annual inspection ensures long-term effectiveness.
Is it legal to deter pigeons?
Yes. Passive deterrence (netting, spikes, wires) is perfectly legal in Belgium. It does not harm the birds — it simply stops them from roosting. We comply with Belgian bird protection legislation.
Do you work with co-owned buildings and property managers?
Yes. We regularly work with property managers and building administrators. We provide a complete intervention report with before/after photos.
Why are pigeon droppings dangerous?
Pigeon droppings have a pH of 3 to 4.5 — as acidic as vinegar. They degrade concrete, zinc and limestone within a few years. They also carry salmonellosis, chlamydiosis and cryptococcosis. 1 pigeon pair produces 2 to 6 broods per year — an untreated colony grows 30 to 50% per season.
What is the lifespan of the installed systems?
Our UV-resistant polyethylene pigeon nets last 10 to 15 years. The stainless steel spikes and tensioned wires are guaranteed rust-free for 10 years. All systems comply with Belgian wildlife protection regulations (law of 12 July 1973).
